# Placing In The Same Position
There are two main methods of ensuring that the Tripod is placed in the correct position every time it is used.
Method 1 - Marked Center Point
With this method, the center location of the Tripod is permanently marked on the ground using i.e. a small paver stone, a pipe which is dug into the ground or a flat-headed tent peg.

Method 2 – Marked Leg Position
With this method, the position of each of the three legs is permanently marked on the ground using i.e. a small paver stone, a small pipe for each foot which is dug into the ground or a flat-headed tent peg.
