# How do I turn on Bluetooth on the Base Station
Bluetooth can be enabled by navigating to either the “Settings by app” or “Set location” menus, as this will turn on the Bluetooth radio. Leaving one of these menus will also disable Bluetooth connectivity.
# Connection between Turf Tank One and Base Station is not working
This is typically caused by the base station not being able to enter TX (transmit) mode, which is required for the robot to connect. It is commonly caused by one of the following:
- Wrong UHF Channel selected (should in most cases be 460.0000 MHz and always match the selected channel configured for the robot).
- Wrong Receiver mode selected (should in most cases be Base UHF INT, but for some customers, it might be different!).
- You have moved the base station to another location while having the wrong location selected using “Saved Location”. Either you need to set up a new location on the base station or select a previously saved location, representing your current position. If none of the two apply, you can select “Single Use” mode, which will allow the robot to connect to the base station.
WARNING
Please remember that marking a field in Single Use mode will prevent you from doing an overmarking without having to relocate the field using the tablet.
# I get an error when trying to establish a cellular data connection
If your base station has been delivered with a SIM card, you need to check that all mobile settings in the “Settings by App” menu has been set correctly. Typically, you need to be aware of the following parameters:
- Mobile APN (typically “em”, but can vary depending on type of sim card)
- Mobile User (typically blank, but can vary)
- Mobile Password (typically blank, but can vary)
TIP
Some earlier versions of the base station are incompatible with 3G/4G SIM cards and will thus need a compatible 2G SIM card to work.
Please refer to the Error codes section for an overview of possible error codes.
# I get an error when trying to connect to a reference network (CORS)
If connecting to a reference network (CORS) fails, it is often because of one of the following:
- A cellular data connection can’t be established, see question above.
- The subscription to the reference network is inactive.
- The reference network is down for maintenance.
- The CORS connection settings are invalid, see below.
Check that all CORS settings in the “Settings by App” menu has been set correctly. Typically, you need to be aware of the following parameters:
- CORS IP/host
- CORS Port
- CORS User
- CORS Password
If Auto Mode has been enabled upon delivery, you need to contact support for them to provide you with the correct parameters, as all parameters vary by your geographic location.
If you have enabled Auto Mode by installing a SIM card and the settings for a reference network yourself, you need to check the cellular data connection as well as the CORS parameters outlined above.
# When trying to set Auto Mode, I receive “Error: Auto Mode” or similar
This error is typically caused because a cellular data connection can’t be established or that the CORS connection settings are invalid. You can refer to other sections in this FAQ to further troubleshoot the problem.
# After receiving “Error: Auto Mode”, connection between Turf Tank One and Base Station can’t be established
Under rare circumstances, an Auto Mode error changes the receiver mode (available from the “Receiver setup” menu) to Rover Network. The normal procedure for working with Auto Mode is that the base station reboots into Rover Network mode to obtain a precise location from a reference network and then changes back to the previously active receiver mode, typically Base UHF INT. To overcome the issue, simply switch back to the previously active receiver mode.
# The Base Station never shows TX on the “Home Screen”
When the base station is unable to transmit corrections, it will not show TX on the display. This is often caused by incorrect settings being used. If an error is shown, try reading the rest of the FAQ for further troubleshooting.
If no solution is working you can try to restart the base station by holding down the button for at least 10 seconds. While holding the button you should hear a beeping sound. When releasing the button, the display should turn off, and the base station will trigger a restart.
