# Safety instructions
The Turf Tank One is intended for spray painting of lines and other line marking purposes on e.g. soccer fields and other sports fields as well as other general purpose markings on various surfaces (pavement, gravel/dirt, grass and other hard surfaces). The Turf Tank One should only be used for its intended purposes.
Whenever the Turf Tank One is operating it must be under supervision of its operator. The operator shall be able to see the Turf Tank One while operating. It is the operators responsibility to learn how to safely operate it under all conditions and which safety features it includes.
Before activating autonomous operation, the operator should check that no unauthorized personnel is present within the working area of the Turf Tank One. Always ensure the area of operation is clear of any persons or obstacles before starting the Turf Tank One.
Ensure that the Lithium-Ion Batteries at all times are firmly attached to the chassis by securing that the battery lock is in the locked position.
Always follow our transportation guidelines when transporting the Turf Tank One. Special notice should be given when hiring a freight company as the use of Lithium-Ion Batteries requires the consignor to fill out a Dangerous Goods Note. Turf Tank cannot be held responsible for any liabilities failing to abide to international transportation laws.
When loading or unloading the Turf Tank One for transportation, it is recommended that two persons handle the Turf Tank One by using the intended “lifting handles” to prevent physical injury or damage to the unit in case of any mishandling. Work-related safety regulations should always be observed.
Do not place/attach foreign objects on/to the Turf Tank One while operating.
Avoid driving the Turf Tank One near obstacles or on slippery surfaces to prevent a potential collision caused by human or technical error. The areas where the Turf Tank One will be in operation should be flat with no steep slopes or large holes, and the areas should be kept free of snow and ice, mud and fallen leaves, branches and similar, as well as other obstacles that could interfere with safe operation.
It is not allowed to operate Turf Tank One without supervision, as it is not capable of sensing its surroundings whether it be buildings, persons or other obstructions. An operator is recommended to be near the Turf Tank One to be able to press the Stop button quickly at any time.
Pay attention to all Safety Warnings and Alerts from the Turf Tank One as they may might indicate unsafe operating conditions.
You must learn about and understand all Safety Alerts and respond as instructed by the Safety Instructions.
Never wear gloves when operating the tablet as it may prevent the tablet from sensing operators input.
Charging the Turf Tank One must be done only by using the supplied charger. The charger must not be connected if there are any visible damages to the charging cables or connectors.
Use a surge protector when charging the Turf Tank One battery to help protect it from damage due to power surges and voltage spikes.
Always shut down your Turf Tank One and turn OFF the main switch before performing any maintenance or installing any part or accessory.
Any disassembly of the Turf Tank One may only be performed by trained personnel.
It is required to use relevant safety equipment when performing cleaning and maintenance of the Turf Tank One. Gloves are recommended for maintenance and cleaning of the spray module.
Relevant health and safety instructions for the paint used must always be followed and complied with, including wearing of protective equipment, gloves, glasses, etc.
Only use water-based paints. It is important not to use flammable paints or paints that contain organic/chemical solvents to avoid damage to the paint pipes and pump.
After a manually triggered stop by using the stop button, or after an automatic stop as a result of a collision detection, the Turf Tank One should be manually driven manually to a new, appropriate starting position before automatic operation is resumed.
Regular maintenance should be performed by the user according to the user manual. All other parts of the Turf Tank One, including all internal parts of the controller, GPS receiver, battery, fuse box, etc. should be serviced only by authorized service personnel.
Handling the battery and operation of the battery charger shall be done according to the instructions in the user manual. Battery replacement should only be done by authorized service personnel.
In case of a part failing, do not try to replace the part yourself. You should contact Turf Tank to ensure proper installation and the use of Turf Tank approved spare parts.
Do not modify the Turf Tank One. Modifications to the Turf Tank One could interfere with its operation, and could result in serious injury and/or damage. Doing so will void the Turf Tank One Limited Warranty.
Do not operate the Turf Tank One under any conditions that can be considered unsafe, for example under extreme weather conditions, high winds, lightning storms etc.
No use of high pressure cleaning, both outside and inside the Turf Tank One
When operating autonomous near public areas (e.g. nears schools, playgrounds etc), special care should to taken to prevent unauthorized persons to approach the Turf Tank One.
