# Turf Tank One
# General
Q: Can I paint indoor fields?
A: No. It is not possible to paint indoor fields since both the Turf Tank One and Base Station requires a satellite connection in order to operate.
Q: Why can there be a difference between the number of satellites shown on the Base Station compared to the App?
A: The number of satellites displayed on the Base Station may not correspond to the number shown in the App. This is normal. Both the Base Station and Rover sees satellites and the number of satellites in the App is the amount of shared satellites that both can see.
Q: How fast is the Turf Tank One when painting?
A: The Turf Tank One can paint at three different speeds: Slow, Normal and Fast.
- In "Slow", the Turf Tank One paints with approx 0,35m/s.
- In "Normal", the Turf Tank One paints with a maximum of approx 0,55m/s.
- In "Fast", the Turf Tank One Paints with a maximum of approx 0,90m/s.
For "Normal" and "Fast" the Turf Tank One needs to accelerate and deaccelerate and the above mentioned speeds are therefore mentioned as maximum.
For lines with a distance less than 4-5m there is little to no difference in paint time when choosing between "Normal" and "Fast".
Q: Does the Turf Tank One´s operating speed affect how accurate the lines are painted?
A: No, accuracy is not affected by the operating speed.
Q: Can you manually control the Turf Tank One?
A: Yes, in the App there is a Joystick and Keypad for manual control.
Q: Can I run two Turf Tank One simultaneously within the same sport complex?
A: If you want to operate two Turf Tank Ones simultaneously there are the following options:
- Both Turf Tank Ones needs to operate on the same channel as the Base Station (1x Base Station + 2x Turf Tank One).
- Both Turf Tank Ones and their Base Station needs to run on seperate channels (2x Base Station + 2x Turf Tank One).
important
If you are operating with two Base Stations simultaneously it is important that they are not running on the same channel.
# Battery
Q: How long operating time is there on a fully charged battery?
A: On a fully charged battery the Turf Tank One can operate for approx 4 hours.
Q: How long does it take to charge the battery?

Q: Is it possible to change battery during operation?
A: Yes, it is possible to change battery during operation without having to turn the Turf Tank One entirely off.
important
- When changing battery the Turf Tank One must stand still.
- When changing battery to Spray Discs must be up.
- When battery is removed is the Turf Tank One remains on for 15 minutes. Battery change must therefore be carried out in less than 15 minutes.
Q: Is it possible to charge the battery while it is inserted into the Turf Tank One?
A: No, it is not possible to charge the battery while it is inserted into the Turf Tank One.
The battery must be taken out and charged with the Battery Charger.
Q: How do I store the battery off-season?
A: Information about storing the battery can be found here:
Battery Maintenance
# Paint
Q: Is paint consumption affected by the operating speed?
A: Yes. The amount of applied paint is close to constant per time for the same nozzle type (i.e. orange nozzle) while the Turf Tank One is operating.
This means that the amount of applied paint to a given line depends on the operating speed.
The faster you go, the less paint is applied.
Example: More paint is used when painting a soccer field in "Slow" instead of "Normal" or "Fast".
Painting in "Fast" will use the least amount of paint.
Q: How much paint does the Turf Tank One use?
A: For a 11v11 Soccer field the Turf Tank One uses approx. 7,7 litres (2,1 gallons) of paint when driving in "Normal" speed mode while using the orange nozzle (Hypro F80-01) and PROSTRIPE paint.
Q: How much paint can the Turf Tank One carry?
A: The Turf Tank One can operate with up to 20L (5,3 gallons) of paint.
Q: How do you clean the Turf Tank One?
A: Cleaning the paint system of the Turf Tank One is described here:
Cleaning the paint system
The exterior can be cleaned with wet cloth.
Important
Do not use a high pressure washer when cleaning the exterior or paint compartment.
It can destroy the electronic system of the Turf Tank One.
Q: Does the Turf Tank One contain any filters which reduces the chance of blocked paint tubes and nozzles?
A: Yes, the paint tube system of the Turf Tank One contains filters which reduces the chance of blocked paint tubes and nozzles.
Q: Can I paint with multiple colours?
A: Yes, but not simultaneously. If you want to paint with different colours you will have to do it one colour at a time.
important
When painting when more colours than white it is important to ensure that the Turf Tank One is either cleaned in between or that the tube system is bleeded until the inserted colour is being sprayed without residues of the previous colour.
Q: Does a wider line width increase paint consumption?
A: No, paint consumption is un-affected by line width.
# Fields
