# Create A Saved Position
With “SET POSITION” the Base Station's current position can be saved. This is especially important if a given field needs to be overmarked at a later point in time.
There are two ways of saving the position:
Please note
- “CREATE NEW” and “CREATE FROM CORS“ are identical in terms of saving a position.
- “CREATE FROM CORS” saves a more precise set of coordinates for the Base Station's true geographical position.
- It is your responsibility as the Operator, to make arrangements for the access to a CORS network if you so choose. This responsibility also includes covering any expenses (monthly or annual fee) associated with using a CORS network.
- Only after CORS is working is it possible to use the “CREATE FROM CORS” feature.
# Create New
Prior to creating a new location on the Base Station, it is imperative to first install the benchmark "pin" or pipe to ensure that the first time set-up and all subsequent uses of this saved position will be identical.
“CREATE NEW” is a method for saving the Base Station's position when using Saved Position.
Please note
- Prior to selecting “CREATE NEW”, the Base Station must be placed in its intended position.
- If the intention is to create a permanent installation method for the Base Station it is advised to first create the saved position to check if the position can be saved at all.
- It is not possible to create a new saved position at a location with a previously saved position.
- Distance between two saved positions must be at least 25 meters (27 yards).
- If upgrading from a firmware older than 1.6.3 you might have multiple saved positions located less than 25 meters (27 yards) apart as these firmware versions had no restrictions on the closeness of the saved positions. With firmware versions after 1.6.3, it will no longer be possible to select any of these positions without first deleting all positions until only one is left.
# How To Save A New Position With CREATE NEW
1. From the Home Screen, press-hold on the push button to open the System Menu.
2. Navigate to “SET POSITION” by single pressing the push button and press-hold to choose.
3. Navigate to “CREATE NEW” by single pressing the push button and press-hold to choose.
After choosing "CREATE NEW" the screen will after a short while show:
Followed by returning to the Home Screen:
A position is now succesfully saved and the Base Station is ready to use in Saved Position mode.
Please note
If the position is succesfully saved the Base Station will go into “Saved Position” mode.

Important
If the Saved Position is NOT succesfully saved the display will show:
Reasons for position not being succesfully saved:
- A Saved Position already exists at the current location or closer than 25 meters (27 yards) away. Try moving the Base Station further away.
- Base Station may be too close to buildings or trees.
With "ERROR SAVED LOCATION" the Base Station will afterwards go into "Single Use" mode.
# Create From CORS
"CREATE FROM CORS" is a more precise method for saving the Base Station's geopgraphical position.
It enables input from externallay obtained coordinates, and is also the only way of ensuring that the robot can be operated in case AUTO MODE, for one reason or another, fails to connect.

- An activate CORS subscription is required in order to use “CREATE FROM CORS”.
# How To Save A New Position With CREATE FROM CORS
1. From the Home Screen, press-hold on the push button to open the System Menu.
2. Navigate to “SET POSITION” by single pressing the push button and press-hold to choose.
3. Navigate to “CREATE FROM CORS” by single pressing the push button and press-hold to choose.
After choosing "CREATE FROM CORS" the screen will after a short while show:

A position created by CORS is now succesfully saved and the Base Station is ready to use in Saved Position mode.

Important
If the Saved Position is NOT succesfully saved the display will, instead of "SET POSITION RESULT OK", show one of the following:
- ERROR SAVED LOCATION
- ERROR AUTO MODE

Reasons for showing ERROR SAVED LOCATION:
- A Saved Position already exists at the current location or closer than 25 meters (27 yards) away. Try moving the Base Station further away.
- Base Station may be too close to buildings or trees.
With "ERROR SAVED LOCATION" the Base Station will afterwards go into "Single Use" mode.
ERROR AUTO MODE
Reasons for showing ERROR AUTO MODE:
- Auto Mode cannot connect to the CORS network. Inserted SIM Card is either not activated or faulty.
With "ERROR AUTO MODE" the Base Station will afterwards go into "Single Use" mode.
